Did you enjoy Final Fantasy 11 online?  I personally found it to be one of the most boring games I've ever been convinced of buying and paying monthly for.  That's just me, though. It's still going strong today and we even have a few community members still playing it on and off.  Apparently they addressed the boring parts, but I won't believe it until I see it.  What about the new Final Fantasy MMORPG you ask?  Hit the jump to read more about it and sign up.

Dead Space 2 Dismemberment Contest Puts You in the Game

Most human beings have thought about killing someone. The rest are liars. However not everyone has thought about killing someone in a creative and gruesome way. If you happen to be one of the rare few who have, you have a chance to have your kill featured in the upcoming Dead Space 2 game.

But wait! There's more! Along with your Necromorph killing skills, your own likeness will also be featured in the highly anticipated sequel. Hit the jump to find out how to enter.

Battlefield Bad Company 2 Server Issues Explained

If you've been playing Battlefield: Bad Company 2 non stop like the majority of Couch Athletics, there's no doubt you've run into several issues trying to log in, stay connected, and generally play the game online.  Most developers keep a tight lip as to what the cause is on their end but Dice played a different card by giving fans a rare look into what's going on and what they are doing about it via a post on their blog.  More detail after the break.

Review: Heavy Rain

Quantic Dream doesn't want you calling Heavy Rain a game. By self definition, they are referring to it as "Interactive Fiction." Since its unveiling at E3 2006, the game that plays more like a movie has been on most gamers' radars. Being a big fan of Fahrenheit, Quantic Dream's previous offering, this was a game I did not want to miss. But how would it hold up on its release? Is "interactive fiction" something that we would want to play? Or would it just be an extra long, bad movie? Press on to find out!

Resident Evil 5's Next DLC Pack Released!

Capcom released it's latest batch of DLC for 2009's co-op action-horror hit, Resident Evil 5, with "Desperate Escape" on the PS3 & Xbox 360 for $5 or 400 Microsoft space points.  Unlike the last offering, "Lost In Nightmares," this scenario takes place during the events of Resident Evil 5, detailing Jill Valentine & Josh Stone's story right after Jill is rescued by Chris.  In addition, more characters for "Mercenaries Reunion" come with this DLC pack letting players assume the role of Resident Evil 0 star Rebecca Chambers in addition to Josh.  For $5, this pack sounds well worth it.

Review: Mega Man 10

The Mega Man franchise is one of the most recognized names in gaming. Since the character’s creation in 1987, there have been over fifty titles bearing the Mega Man name with sales exceeding the population of Malaysia. It is also one of my personal favorite series. I celebrated when Capcom released Mega Man 9, but I remained skeptical of their ability to bottle lightning a second time. Did the latest entry live up to its lineage? Find out after the jump.

Calendar error affecting PS3s; fans now know what it's like to own an Xbox

The internet is abuzz with news that PS3s across the globe, including developer builds, have been encountering an unusual show-stopping error when attempting to play certain games. At first it seemed the problem was isolated to the Playstation Network, but reports soon came in that all manner of PlayStation 3 consoles, primarily the earlier releases of the hardware, have been getting stuck in a loop when attempting to access the Playstation Network, PSN games, and, strangely, even some games played offline.

First Space Marine screenshots from THQ

Remember that trailer that came out in the middle of last year showcasing a Warhammer 40k action RPG title called Space Marine?  There was a lot of speculation that the title may have been canceled, or scrapped, and that the trailer was possibly fake.  Whether the trailer is fake or not, the project is actually real.  So real in fact that THQ has released the first screenshots of the title on their website today.  The screenshots look like they're from a cinematic and not actual game play, leaving much to be desired.
